Reflecting on the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce Annual Business Summit at the Greenbrier

I appreciated the opportunity to participate in the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce Business Summit last week and engage with business and community leaders from across West Virginia.

The conversations throughout the event provided valuable perspective on the opportunities and challenges facing our state, as well as the importance of continued collaboration among employers, community leaders, and those who serve.

Through my involvement with Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, I have seen firsthand the importance of strong relationships between our military community and the employers who support them. Opportunities to connect, listen, and better understand one another are essential to strengthening those relationships.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to a meaningful and productive event. I look forward to continuing these conversations and working together to support the people and communities that make West Virginia strong.

A great few days at The Greenbrier connecting with business and community leaders from across West Virginia.

The Business Summit was a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships, share ideas, and highlight the important role employers play in supporting our National Guard and Reserve members.

As Chairman of ESGR - West Virginia, I’m proud to continue building partnerships with employers who recognize the value of military service and support their employees who serve. 🇺🇸

Today, we recognize Labor Day and the people who make our workplaces, businesses, and communities stronger every day.

Labor Day is a reminder of the value of hard work, dedication, and the contributions of workers across West Virginia and our nation. It’s also an opportunity to recognize the employers who support their employees — including those who serve in the National Guard and Reserve.

Strong employers and strong employees go hand in hand, and that partnership is something worth celebrating.

Honoring Our Nation’s Citizen Warriors and the Employers Who Support Them

During National Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Week, we recognize the men and women of the National Guard and Reserve who serve our nation while building careers and strengthening the communities where they live and work.

We also recognize the employers who support their employees’ military service by providing the flexibility and support needed to train, deploy, and fulfill their military responsibilities while maintaining their civilian careers.

The partnership between service members and supportive employers is essential to the strength of our all-volunteer force.

We are grateful for the employers across West Virginia and throughout the nation who continue to stand behind our National Guard and Reserve members, their families, and their service.

It was an honor to serve as West Virginia ESGR State Chair and recognize the incredible employers, organizations, and volunteers who make a lasting impact on the lives of our National Guard and Reserve Service Members.
