"Danny Boy" - Traditional, arranged by Chief Master Sgt. (ret.) Floyd Werle
"Irish Blessing"
NOTES FROM HOME | One of the most well known traditional Celtic tunes, "Irish Blessing" is a prayer for safe travels and well wishes. The lyrics of wind, sun, and rain, allude to the Holy Trinity and Ireland's spiritual connection between the earth and the elements.
"May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand."
Irish Blessing - Traditional text, melody by - Denes Agay

On The Fly Presents: St. Patrick's Day Bagpipes
☘️TRADITION☘️ | With only two days until St. Patrick's Day, we present a special installment of our On The Fly series. Watch as Ceremonial bagpiper Master Sgt. Adam Tianello plays the traditional Irish melodies of "Danny Boy", "The Rising of the Moon", and "The Minstrel Boy". Sgt. Tianello has the unique distiction of being the only bagpiper in the United States Air Force Bands. “It’s a one of a kind sound, a gripping sound of enticing melodies on top of an ever constant soothing drone. It’s a sound no other instrument has,” explains Sgt. Tianello.
Turn the sound up and enjoy these Irish favorites!

Celtic Aire: St. Patrick's Day Celebration
🍀Happy St. Patrick's Day!🍀
Celtic Aire was invited to perform at The White House a few days ago as President Donald J. Trump hosted a St. Patrick's Day reception in the East Room. What a thrill to represent the United States Air Force as its premier Celtic and folk ensemble. Here is a snippet of our set as guests departed at the Southeast gate of the White House.
