Zimbabwe continues to engage the US market!!
The US market is Zimbabwes biggest international market in tourism and arrivals from this market continue to grow.
During the month of July, the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry through Zimbabwe Tourism Authority participated in the North America roadshow where they were represented by the Tourism Attaché.
The roadshow was conducted across 6 cities in USA, Atlanta, Georgia; Chicago, Washington DC, New York City, San Francisco, Denver and 2 cities in Canada, Toronto and Vancouver.
During the roadshow, the Tourism Attaché promoted Zimbabwe as a premier tourist destination offering aunthentic experiences; strengthened Agents destination knowledge, highlighted packaging options. The Travel Agents were invited for for Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo and the Mission is happy to note that some of them will be attending the expo and famtrip to Zimbabwe.
The mission welcomes this progress and wishes all participating agents fruitful engagement in Zimbabwe.

The Mission is pleased to report the success of the Zimbabwe Evening event held at the Westin DC hotel. The event brought together travel advisors from the Africas Eden roadshow, ASTA ( American Society of Travel Advisors )Travel Advisors and Skal DC members.

H. E Ambassador D. Hamadziripi delivered strong welcome remarks, followed by a comprehensive destination presentation from the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority CEO, Dr. George Manyaya who encouraged attendees to partner with Zimbabwe in packaging the destination and participate in opportunities such as familiarization trips, destination training and the upcoming Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo from 9-12 September 2026.

Participants were encouraged to visit and experience Zimbabwe firsthand.The evening provided valuable networking opportunities and the Embassy thanks all attendees for their time and participation.

The mission is pleased to share about the recent Business Diaspora engagement forums held in the US in Dallas, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia, led by the Honourable Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Hon Barbra Rwodzi.
Ambassador Hamadziripi welcomed all delegates to the business forum.
The engagements included representatives from other Gorvenment departments and institutions, including Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency, Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe and Mosi Oa Tunya Development Company.
The forums focused on investment opportunities in Zimbabwe for the diaspora community, reinforcing the message that Zimbabwe is open for business and welcomes diaspora investment.

Ambassador D. Hamadziripi and the team from the Embassy traveled to Charlotte, North Carolina to support the Sables during their match against the USA on 11 July. They were joined by members of the Zimbabwean diaspora who showed incredible enthusiasm, cheering and chanting songs of praise in a wonderful display of love and support.

Though the team did not win the match, they put a commendable fight.It is the resilient spirit that we cherish and celebrate.
The Ambassador shared words of encouragement with the Sables, praising them for their hard work and dedication.

His Excellency Ambassador D. Hamadziripi officially welcomed the Sables Rugby team at Denver International Airport in the United States, upon their arrival for the upcoming World Rugby Nations Cup 2026.
The team is scheduled to compete in the tournament against prominent international teams, including Tonga on 04 July 2026, in Denver, and the USA on 11 July 2026, in NC Charlotte. The Ambassador was accompanied by a group of Zimbabwean diaspora community members at the airport.

The Ambassador hosted a welcome dinner for the team and offered words of encouragement to motivate them ahead of their tour.
We extend our best wishes to the team and look forward to their success.

This was amazing!!
As we wrap up our partnership with Watkins Elementary School for the 2025-2026 academic year, we wish to express heartfelt thanks to the teachers, students, and parents for their cooperation.

It was wonderful to see the students develop a song showcasing Zimbabwe's 10 provinces after our visits. We are pleased to have left a lasting impression on the students, and we anticipate that Zimbabwe will remain special to them, maybe prompting visits in the future.
