UPDATE: It is a great day in Washington D.C. because the has passed the Senate!! 👏🏾 After a long fight, our veterans who have been exposed to toxic substances while serving our country now have lifesaving care. 🪖🎖✅
U.S.VETS is deeply disappointed over the defeat of the PACT Act (Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act). This transformative bill would have expanded medical coverage for millions of veterans exposed to toxic substances, including burn pits, Agent Orange and oil well fires, during their service. Despite initially passing both the House and Senate with bipartisan support in June, the PACT Act failed to meet the 60 votes necessary to advance the legislation. This is outrageous and unacceptable. The Senate will have another vote Monday, August 1 to give the another chance. Please contact your Senators and urge them to vote YES on giving veterans the care they desperately need and deserve.
Chick-fil-A, Booz Allen Hamilton and thedunnfoundation are all still coming through every Monday for our vets!! 👏🏽👍🏿We are so thankful for their support— and delicious food 🤤
90 years ago today, tens of thousands of homeless, unemployed veterans gathered in D.C. to protest their unpaid bonus certificates. Some were killed as authorities attempted to drive them out of the city. Still today, veterans are living on the streets of our nation’s capital asking for our country’s help. U.S.VETS is here to answer that call. Are you?
The best thing about our veterans is that they take every opportunity to make the best of any situation! 🏆 Instead of complaining about the heat, they’re sun bathing! 👏🏾☀️🕶😎
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Are you looking to hire veterans? 🪖🎖You should be! Not only because today is National Day but because our heroes bring specialized skills to all there jobs. DM us right now to find out how your organization can get involved with U.S.VETS job fairs!

This , we are asking that you help us serve our heroes. They sacrificed so much for us and now, they need our help.

🇺🇸 Our freedoms have been hard-earned at the hands of our heroes for the last 246 years— we truly are the land of the free and home of the brave 👏🏾🎖🪖Why not celebrate it?
Mr. Matlock served his country in the Army, and then returned to serve his community as a mechanic. He came to U.S.VETS after losing his business and home and found the resources that he needed to reset.
We ask for your support so that we can give Mr. Matlock, and thousands of other veterans in the DMV, the resources they need.

signed the G.I. Bill of Rights into law 78 years ago to help returning readjust to civilian life. Even then, our nation knew that housing and education was a RIGHT for the men and women who protect us all. 🎖 U.S.VETS’ comprehensive approach takes that one step further—our heroes deserve not only housing🏠, not only career centered education 📚, but also the counseling and supportive services that allow them to live a good life ✅.
If you agree, DM us to get involved today!
in 1979 Seaman Ina J. Toavs became the first woman to receive the Coast Guard Medal, and cemented her status as an inspiration to women across the nation. She is one of many who helped pave the way to a world where 20% of new recruits and 16% of personnel serving on active duty are women.
While they defend our country, women in combat often face unique challenges in the military and upon returning home. That is why U.S. VETS created our Women Vets on Point
program to offers specialized services that smooth female veteran’s transition back to civilian life.

Our flag is an emblem of the land we love, a symbol of freedom to so many. Our veterans have fought for it, and some of their brothers-in-arms died for it to fly. Today, we salute it. 🇺🇸
From experiencing homelessness to a six-figure job? U.S.VETS DID THAT. One of our veterans found out today that he landed his DREAM opportunity. We are lucky that we were there to catch a pic of our Workforce Manager, Eboni’s reaction. You can tell she puts her heart and soul into
We’re still dreaming about all that delicious food😍👏🏻…. Next year same place?
It’s hard to believe that 78 years ago today Omaha Beach, France was littered with tank traps, bullet casings, and the echoes of injured heroes' cries. D-Day was the largest amphibious operation ever mounted– thousands of veterans needed specialized care after that day.
Can you imagine the pain of walking bravely into that battle, surviving, and then being forced to sleep on the streets a few years later? We can. Which is why we are here, . Join us.
“We have more resources than ever before to help veterans who are homeless, and it is up to all of us to use them wisely, empowering the veterans. It will help them, as one of our vets said, “to bring back the man who once wore the military uniform with pride and honor”.
