We'll also be sharing information about gaming resources available to veterans, including programs that may provide free gaming PCs, video games, and other gaming-related support.

CEO Darryl Vincent and Quandrea Patterson, executive director of U.S.VETS Washington, D.C., shared how the hub helps veterans stay housed, employed, connected to critical resources and on a path toward long-term stability and healing.

On Tuesday, U.S.VETS joined veterans, community leaders, VA representatives and members of Congress Jen Kiggans and Eli Crane to highlight a shared commitment to helping veterans stay housed, employed and connected through life's transitions.

The Veterans Connection Hub is designed to provide support before challenges become crises—offering resources, guidance and community to help veterans build stability and thrive.

Join us for our upcoming Tenant Detective class on Wednesday, May 27th from 1 PM–3 PM, in partnership with The Office of The Tenant Detective!

This hands-on class will teach you how to research online databases and public records to make sure your landlord is complying with DC law.

We recommend bringing a laptop or tablet so you can follow along and research your landlord in real time as the presenters speak.

Guess what? Our first ever Veterans Connection Hub movie afternoon is THIS FRIDAY!
Join us for a FREE fun and low-key afternoon this Friday at 3:00 PM as we show the classic 1987 film Good Morning, Vietnam starring Robin Williams! Candy, chips, popcorn, and soda will be provided at absolutely no cost. Veterans and their families are welcome to attend.

We’re relishing the growing presence of veterans in our new one-stop Veterans Connection Hub centrally located in the main business district.

Our hub at 1575 I St. NW provides prevention-focused, community-based support including career services, mental health counseling, housing assistance, su***de prevention, after care and peer support, all designed to stop veteran homelessness before it starts. Upstream support follows a long-term decline in the number of unhoused veterans locally and a shifting landscape of need among veterans and their families.

Opened with support from FOX Corporation—which contributed $2 million toward hub expansions nationwide—and in collaboration with healthcare and veteran housing provider Brighton Marine Inc., the hub brings together proven programs U.S.VETS has piloted across the country. Supportive services are designed to foster stability for veterans who struggle to adjust to civilian life or lack the resources to rebuild their futures.

These last few months have been inspiring, seeing our veteran clients meeting with case managers, working in the computer lab, attending career and resource fairs, and enjoying camaraderie!
