DCHA celebrated and honored 18 students who each received a Commitment to Excellence Scholarship this year. The celebration took place at the EnVision Center and featured remarks from DCHA staff, a dance performance from scholarship recipient Promise Brown, and a keynote address from Jessica Brown, the founder of College Gurl and President of The College Gurl Foundation.

National Night Out is an annual event that strengthens the relationship between community members and law enforcement.

The HQ Customer Service Center at 625 D St. SW will be closed on Friday, Aug. 14th due to building maintenance. Customers in need of service can visit the Frederick Douglass Community Center Customer Service Center location at 2000 Alabama Ave. SE to accommodate the office closure. While walk-ins are accepted until 3:45 pm, appointments are highly encouraged. Customers can also call the 24/7 call center at 202-535-1000 to speak to a representative. DCHA apologizes for the inconvenience.

During this period, our HCVP staff will focus on processing Requests for Tenancy Approval (RFTA) packets, an initiative that aims to get more voucher families leased up more quickly.

Limited services will be available at our Customer Service Centers during this week. normal operations will continue at the DCHA Call Center (202-535-1000).

The in-person events included hundreds of current and potential landlords in attendance. DCHA HCVP staff gave presentations, hosted Q&A sessions, both in group and one-on-one settings.
