Georgetown Emergency Response Medical Service is a student-run ambulance organization that has provided rapid response, treatment, and transport to Georgetown University and the surrounding community since in 1982. GERMS provides emergency care 24/7, year-round, free of charge. GERMS responds to medical emergencies on the Georgetown University main campus as well as the neighborhoods of West Georgetown, Burleith, and Foxhall.

As of 6 PM yesterday, GERMS is back in service! 🌸🌼GERMS will only be in service on weekday nights (Monday to Thursday 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM) and weekends (6:00 PM Friday to 8:00 AM Monday). Most calls made to the GERMS line outside of operational hours will be transferred to DC Fire & EMS.

As of Friday, July 3rd at 6 PM, GERMS is out of service until Sunday, July 5th at 6 PM. Have a safe and happy Fourth! 🎇
