She wrote opinion pieces, visited the UN, and sat in on briefings at think tanks — all before finishing her journalism degree 🏛️✍️

Lily, an Arcadia University student, spent her spring semester in DC through American University's Washington Semester Program — interning at the National Press Club, taking class trips to Congress, embassies, and think tanks like Brookings, and getting hands-on experience in the heart of the country's political and media landscape. And that's on top of university chorus and a 200-person dance club.

She came for the internship. She left having fallen in love with the whole city.
