Welcome to our Summer 2026 Fellows from Houston, Texas!

David Lee is a graduate of Rice University, with degrees in Political Science and Transnational Asian Studies. He has worked in the Texas State Senate and on Capitol Hill, including with the U.S. House Select Committee on China. At Rice, he served as Chief of Staff of the Student Association.

Jorge Plaza is a rising senior at the University of St. Thomas in Houston studying Political Science. He is a peer tutor and mentor. Jorge is originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador.

Logan Tantibanchachai is a Judicial Researcher at First Liberty Institute, an Associate Fellow at the Center for Religion, Culture & Democracy, and a Braniff Fellow for Social Thought at the University of Dallas. Logan is the youngest-ever graduate of the University of Houston.

Welcome to our Summer 2026 Fellows from North and South Carolina!

Elizabeth Adams is a rising senior at Furman University studying psychology, politics, and international affairs. She heads a leadership Fellowship at Furman, and is a member of Student Government and the Justice Forum.

Madeline Fyock is a graduating senior at the University of South Carolina studying Russian Studies and Vocal Performance. She has studied Russian both at the Middlebury School of Russian and through immersive experiences in Armenia and Uzbekistan. Madeline is a research assistant, Russian-language tutor, and student ambassador in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Stephen Walker is a rising senior at Davidson College studying English Literature and Political Science. He is an organizer of the deliberative citizenship initiative, president of Davidson College Republicans and regional director of North Carolina College Republicans. Welcome to our Summer 2026 Fellows from the Northeast!

Madeline Fisher is a rising senior at Dartmouth College studying History and French. She studied abroad in Paris and London, works for the Dartmouth College Fund, and has completed an externship with a federal judge serving on the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona. Madeline is from St. Paul, Minnesota.

Blake Fox is a graduating senior at Wesleyan University studying History. He is the opinion editor of The Wesleyan Argus, a senior staff writer for The Arcadia Political Review, and has taught a full-credit course on the United States Supreme Court. He has interned with FIRE and the Animal Law and Policy Institute at Vermont Law and Graduate School.

Michael Lau is a graduating senior at Brown University studying Philosophy and Applied Mathematics. He conducts state constitutional research with the Federalist Society and previously completed two full-time legal internships at Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP. At Brown, he has served as a teaching assistant for Introduction to Deductive Logic and contributes to the Brown Political Review.
