*****Looking to identify***
These two vehicles are being operated by the same driver that switches plates and vehicles weekly. Every morning at approximately 0645 the operator travels westbound on Route 109 through Washington to New Milford. The driver operates in a reckless manner passing cars and school buses. Troopers attempted to stop the vehicle on Route 8 and the operator fled at speeds so excessive that the pursuit was quickly terminated. We believe the operator works somewhere in New Milford and we are looking for any information regarding the driver's identity or whereabouts. Any information received will be kept confidential. Last seen operating the green Subaru Legacy with Florida Dealer Plate 61931X. The red Jeep has an unknown New York Plate and plastic on the driver side window.

The Connecticut Department of Vehicles and several police departments across the state are warning residents not to click links in a text message about violations or toll fees that looks like it could be from the DMV because it’s a phishing scam.

The DMV posted on social media that there have been reports of fraudulent text messages and calls being sent to residents.

“We DO NOT contact residents regarding violations or toll fees via text or phone,” the DMV said, and they warn not to click the links.
