Due to the unpredictability of the weather today, the graduation has been moved to TPAC. See you all at 6 pm at the Trueblood Performing Arts Center to celebrate our Seniors!

To our community:
Given the weather forecast, WICHP has decided to move the "Red Barn Picnic" to the Trinity Fellowship Hall. Parents and community members are still welcome to come and to bring a dessert and/or side dishes.

We will make a decision regarding the graduation ceremony closer to the time; the graduation ceremony will take place in TPAC, if that decision has to be made tomorrow.

SENIOR HIGHLIGHT
Mason Isaacson-Krueger
Plans for the future: Following graduation, I will enter the Oregon Air National Guard. After boot camp, I will train as a mechanic and then attend the University of Oregon to pursue a degree in Global Studies.
What person/event influenced you the most in life? My mom has had the greatest influence on my life. She has taught me to be outgoing, respectful, and to treat people with empathy and kindness. I have learned the importance of being true to myself and working hard.

So many exciting things are happening at Washington Island School:

Our Valedictorian and Salutatorian proudly attended the "Best of Class" event in Green Bay. Congratulations to both!

Good Luck to our SeaPerch Teams! Two of our teams are flying to Maryland to compete in the International SeaPerch Competition. This is a huge accomplishment!

Community Service Day: Our students are giving back today! They are volunteering at Gathering Ground this morning and picking up roadside trash this afternoon. We have the support of our community, and this is our way of giving something back!
TRAFFIC NOTE: Please keep an eye out for students walking on the side of Island roads this afternoon.

Washington Island Baccalaureate Service today!
There will be a Baccalaureate service for our graduating seniors on Wednesday, May 27th, at 7 pm at Bethel Church -1833 Main Road.
Baccalaureate is a faith-based service organized by the churches on the island. It is intended to congratulate and celebrate the graduates as well as recognize God's part in their lives as they move on from high school. The 3 island churches rotate the planning and hosting of the service.
All are welcome to be a part of this service this week.
