Originally scheduled for the weekend of May 1st and 2nd, 2020, COVID-19 intervened and we have now scheduled the weekend of October 9/10 for our annual celebration supporting healing in Veterans. Literally Healing Vets Weekend 2020 has something for everyone to enjoy. Please make a note of the 2020 Healing Vets Weekend and we hope to see you there! Brief description on HVW – Friday, May 9, evening Veteran art exhibit and Vet talks hosted by the Historic Turnage theater. Saturday morning, May 10 will kick off with yoga, then the Ride for Rose Haven Bicycle and Motorcycle Ride at waterfront Festival Park. Starting at 10 am will be the Veteran Outreach Fair, featuring Veteran Service Organizations and other local and eastern North Carolina businesses and groups whose services support Veterans. Also invited to the Fair are artisans, vendors, and Food Trucks, and a benefit concert. All HVW events, except the bike/motorcycle ride, are open to all and free of charge.
