The Washington County Sheriff’s Office will be closed tomorrow Monday October 12th for Columbus Day. Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday October 13th.

Our park patrol unit, Deputy Lemons, had the pleasure of speaking with this young hunter today at Cross Creek Park. He stated this is the first time ever hunting after completing his Hunter Safety Course just a month ago. Congratulations young man on two nice pheasants!

We have received many phone calls stating that many residents of the county are being contacted by someone and being told that the person is a deputy with our office. This person is stating that you have a warrant, unpaid tickets/fines, and other court related matters. They have personal information, and information that would seem convincing. Most recently the name being used is “Deputy Burns”. Many county’s across the commonwealth are experiencing the same types of calls.

THIS IS A SCAM. No Deputies from our office will call you on the phone to address any of these matters. DO NOT give these callers any financial information or any other personal information they are seeking.

We are aware of these calls and need the help of the public to spread awareness and be aware that these are SCAM CALLS. If you are a regular follower of our page, we apologize for the repeating nature of these posts, however, we must address it when we get an influx of reports. If you see this share so that someone who does not follow us may see it!! Please share and thank you for your help in spreading awareness on this matter!

The Washington County Sheriffs Office is happy to spend another October promoting Breast Cancer Awareness month! Our specially wrapped patrol car is in stunning pink all year long, however this month we are proud to partner with UPMC Washington’s Women’s Center. The pink cruiser will be there all week so be sure to stop and see it!

We hope that our car is a reminder to those fighting their battle and survivors that they have the strength of their community behind them! 💕💕💕

A special day in the Sheriff’s Office celebrating the retirement of Danielle Quattro! We thank Danielle for her years of service to the Sheriff’s Office and to the County of Washington. Danielle spent 27 years at the county and 15 of those years with our office. Thank you Danielle and enjoy retirement!

Our office would like to humbly thank Tom Fronzaglio and his group at Mon Valley Jeepers ‘nat for the generous donation to Project Life Saver !! The donation will help us to continue to offer this program and cover expenses for maintenance, units and battery up keep at no cost to the individuals. 👍💪⭐️

(Project Life Saver is a public safety search and rescue program designed to quickly locate missing individuals)
