Optimist Club of Washington, Iowa Inc. The Optimist Club of Washington is a group of people who have goals to see the needs of our youth. We welcome you to come be a part of our organization.

We meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesday morning at 6:30 at the Washington YMCA. Our focus is to find ways to meet the needs of the youth in our community. Our service projects include placing the flags on National holidays, Youth Achievement Banquet, Blood Drives, roadside cleanup along with youth activities.

Twice a year, our dedicated volunteers roll up their sleeves to help keep Washington looking clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone. It’s amazing what a difference a few hours—and a lot of teamwork—can make!
