In observance of Labor Day, the following WCHC locations will be closed Monday, September 7, 2026:
• McCreedy Medical Clinic
• Family Medicine Clinic
• Columbus Junction Clinic
• Kalona Clinic
• Mediapolis Clinic
• Hanson Specialty Clinic
• Behavioral Health Clinic
• Rehab Services
• Beans Pharmacy

All locations will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, September 8.

We’re excited to welcome Grace Chabal, MD, to Washington County Hospital and Clinics! 💙

Dr. Chabal is joining our team as a gynecology provider and will begin seeing patients on September 8, 2026.

She comes to WCHC from the University of Iowa, where she is currently serving as Chief Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and brings a strong passion for patient-centered care and women’s health.

Her addition helps expand access to gynecologic services right here in our community—so patients can receive the care they need, close to home.

Most routine gynecology care does not require a referral. We encourage patients to check with their insurance carrier to confirm their specific coverage and referral requirements.

We’re Hiring: Informatics Specialist

Are you passionate about both healthcare and technology? Washington County Hospitals & Clinics is looking for an Informatics Specialist to help bridge the gap between clinical care, people, processes, and technology.

In this role, you’ll partner with clinicians, providers, IT, and operational leaders to optimize our electronic health record and other clinical technologies. From improving workflows and analyzing data to educating end users and supporting system enhancements, you’ll help make technology work better for the people providing patient care.

What we’re looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree; RN background desired
• Strong experience with clinical information systems
• Knowledge of HIPAA/HiTech regulations and policies
• Excellent technology, problem-solving, communication, and training skills
• Ability to turn clinical and operational needs into effective technology solutions
• Nursing informatics and/or EPIC certifications are a plus
