For 30 members they are into their last few days of their high school career. We are proud to call you family and so many of you have been in this program 9 years PLUS more!! What wonderful leaders and young people you have grown into. We look forward to and your final showcase as a 4-H member. AND after the dust settles at county fair and your next chapters begin, we hope you will be adults who use your head, heart, hands, and health to make the best better. The April photo album for Camera Corps Club is up and ready for VIEWS and VOTES! The photography challenge for April was Wild Wind. Members were challenged to capture the "invisible" force of the Iowa wind by showing how it moves the landscape. Voting ends 5/31.

The Camera Corps Club Challenge from April was titled Wild Wind. Members were challenged to capture the "invisible" force of the Iowa wind by showing how it moves the landscape. Members learned together at their April meeting and then had the rest of the month to practice, photograph, and submit their best! Support them and show love for this 'published' work by VOTING for your FAVORITE! Vote for your favorite image by "liking" it! (1 like = 1 vote) All photos in this album were taken by Washington County 4-Hers who are a part of the local Camera Corps Club. Voting closes May 31 and the winners will be recognized at their club meeting.

Fair Prep Tip of the Day!

In the clothing event 4-H members in grades 4-12 interested in showcasing apparel design and production knowledge will share their understanding and use of design elements and principles in design/selecting an outfit. The county program will have four divisions: Fashion R***e, Clothing Selection, Innovative Design and $20 Challenge.

Utilize the Exploring the Elements and principals in Clothing resource when completing static exhibit write-ups and clothing event report forms. Clothing event report forms can be found on our fair forms page under Clothing Event. https://www.extension.iastate.edu/washington/county-fair

Don't forget that you can also participate in the County Fair Style Show on Monday, July 20 at rhe community center! Clover Kids are welcome to participate in the Style Show as well!

**🎡 First County Fair? Don't Panic—Prepare for Fair is Here! 🎡**

Join us for **Prepare for Fair**, a fun and informative evening designed especially for newer 4-H members and their families!

📅 Thursday, June 18
⏰ 6:30–8:00 p.m.
📍 Dallmeyer Hall, Washington County Fairgrounds

During this hands-on event, you'll:
✅ Explore project areas and exhibit opportunities
✅ Learn how fair entries work
✅ Take a guided fairgrounds tour
✅ Practice entering exhibits before the real deadline
✅ Meet project superintendents and experienced 4-H mentors
✅ Get answers to all your fair questions

Whether you're showing a project for the first time or just want to feel more confident about fair week, this event is for you! While all 4-H members are welcome, it's especially helpful for youth who have been in 4-H for three years or less.

👨‍👩‍👧 Parents and guardians are strongly encouraged to attend!

Bring your questions, your curiosity, and your excitement—we'll help you get fair-ready!
