Washington County Farm Bureau supports the Washington County 4-H program in many ways all throughout the year. They recently donated $2 towards every 4-H members’ enrollment fees for the 2025-2026 year. This donation in addition to support from Washington County Extension, Fair Association and 4-H fundraising events, 4-H membership in Washington County is free from enrollment fees. Amy Green, Washington County 4-H & Youth Coordinator, accepts donation check from Washington County Farm Bureau president Greg Koch and board member Brad Skubal. The new 4-H year begins in September, and most clubs are accepting new members. Who will we see Wednesday night ?

This is important!
These are life skills!
But it can be a lot – so we can be there to help at the Record Book Work Night. Wednesday, September 2 with a drop in timeline anytime between 6pm-8pm at the Extension Office meeting room. Stop for support, assistance, tips, revisions, Q & A – you name it in the record book world – we will be equipped to help you.
Maybe you need help:
- Getting started
- Having the right forms
- Knowing what to include
- Knowing how to say it
- Proof reading
- Putting it in order
Bring your paperwork, clippings, calendars, receipts, records! Bring whatever version you have of your record book and they will help you make your best better in the world of records.
This work night is open to any 4-Her and their caring adult who supports them at home. Come, learn together! This is open to new 4-Hers, semi-new 4-Hers and OLD 4-Hers. 😊 Everyone can use a work night for their record book! And this just might be the year to make that record book amazing and worthy of a Washington County 4-H Record Book Award!! Come and learn more!!

Bows & Bullets enjoyed a day of rain and shooting at Big Springs Shooting Complex for the Iowa 4-H state shoot. Thanks to club leaders and parents for helping to make all this happen for these qualifying members.
