Our sincere thanks to Sheriff Bobby Guidroz and the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office, for the apprehension of this individual. We remind all of our St. Landry Parish residents that the landfill is yours to use with very few stipulations. The operation of the landfill, your refuse and bulky waste pickup, and also our recycling centers are funded by your sales tax dollars, therefore no tipping costs afforded to you. All we need to allow our residents entry is a driver's license or proof of residency. With a concerted effort from all of us, we can make this a domino effect, putting these kind of people in the spotlight, making for a cleaner and greener St. Landry Parish. Thanks again to Sheriff Bobby Guidroz and the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office for their assistance in this and all matters.

To all of the residents of St. Landry Parish, in order to clear up any confusion on what to do or who to call about large items in need of disposal, please call Morgan and Morgan Land Prep., at 337-331-5375. They are the contractor for bulky waste in and for St. Landry Parish. The St. Landry Parish Solid Waste Disposal District is here to serve you. If you have any questions in regards to any waste matters, please call the landfill @ 337-826-5211. We are working diligently to try and ascertain some assistance in the gross littering of our parish and the excess bulky waste put out in the form of litter and contractor debris. The Louisiana Department of Wildlife & Fisheries will assist the St. Landry Parish Solid Waste Commission in surveillance and apprehension of the people who refuse to follow the laws of the State of Louisiana and the Parish of St. Landry, in continuing to litter and destroy our parish, all the while wasting taxpayer dollars because of their lack of responsibility. Littering and contractor fraud is a crime, please report it to the proper authorities. Please help us make this a better and more beautiful St. Landry.
