100 Years Ago Today, the First Boys Basketball Game Was Played in the Brand New Washington Community Gym.

In 1925, in the heart of Washington, Indiana, a lasting symbol was built—one that would come to define generations of pride, perseverance, and small-town spirit.

What an amazing day at Washington Community Schools! 🎉

As a Kids at Hope school, we believe ALL children are capable of success—no exceptions! Our second-quarter focus on Community and Service came to life during our annual “Thank You” Parade, celebrating the incredible people who support our students every day. 💙

From local heroes to dedicated community partners, we were proud to cheer you on as you paraded around our schools. Our Kindergarten–6th grade students showed their gratitude with big smiles, homemade signs, and endless enthusiasm! 🙌

Put it on the calendar, Lady Hatchet Hoops Hysteria is BACK!

We’ve got a FUN night planned with our Lady Hatchets, our fans, and some surprise guests! We will have our annual player/parent buzzer be**er contest, pizza box knock out, lip sync competitions, and a few other contests that we promise will be entertaining 🤣 We’ll have music by DJ Anthony B, concessions by WHS Golden Pride, cheers from the WHS cheer team, a performance by Hatchet Dance, and, of course, our Lady Hatchets!

🌟Bring cash for the opportunity to purchase concessions, donate to our fund, or participate in chuck-a-duck!🌟
