Help us help you.

While you are shoveling snow after Winter Storm Fern comes through, please take a little extra time to clear the closest fire hydrant to your house. By doing this, it will save us valuable time if we need to use it. Every second counts.

Thank you
Your Volunteers at 83 Fire

Today is the day, Members of 83 Fire are escorting Santa around town making deliveries to good boys and girls. But watch out the sneaky green grumpy guy, the Grinch may be lurking near by. Our members will be using their lights and sirens to scare the Grinch off, but you never know what tricks he has up his sleeve.

We were just notified that Elizabethtown Gas will be venting gas at various locations in town today. If you smell gas outside today this could be the cause.

If you smell gas inside your home we recommend you call 911 or if you are concerned about the smell outside your home you can call as a precaution also.

Happy National First Responders Day! 🇺🇸

Today, October 28th, we pause to recognize the extraordinary dedication of all First Responders across the nation.

To the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, paramedics, 911 dispatchers, and essential public safety personnel everywhere—thank you. You are the selfless heroes who answer the call 24/7, putting your lives on the line to keep our communities safe.

A Shout-Out to Our Own Heroes

To the dedicated men and women of the 83 Fire family: We are incredibly proud of your commitment. Thank you for the endless hours of training, the bravery you show in crisis, and the compassion you bring to every single emergency call. You are the backbone of our community safety. We appreciate you today and every day.

Please join us in sharing a word of thanks to all First Responders!

Members of 83 Fire assisted water shuttle operations for over 5 hours Tuesday night before being released by command. Members used a hydrant on Good Springs Rd to fill tankers that went back to the scene. In total 83 Fire flowed roughly 158,000 gallons of water.

Great work by all the mutual day departments that worked for 2 days to suppress this stubborn fire.
