Last week, our new annex, Washington's Museum of the Pamlico, hosted "Reading the Image", a photo identification workshop with Curator of Special Collections Stephen Farrell and the Historic Port of Washington Project, Inc. Participants learned how to identify photographic processes, estimate dates, and interpret clues from historical photos.

If you missed this one, don't worry! Bring your treasured family photos to our "Faces & Families of the Inner Banks" on August 27th for free digitization and explore your genealogy. Keep an eye on our calendars, too! We have lots of fun, fascinating historical programming planned for the fall!
