There is so much momentum in Downtown Washington right now, and we are just so proud to be part of a community of business owners who take such immense pride in their spaces to help our downtown shine! ✨ Highlighting just a few of the incredible improvements popping up around the square:
🎨 The new downtown mural; featuring icons that represent all the different aspects of Washington; is coming along beautifully! Artists Brandy and Elizabeth have been working incredibly hard to get it ready for its biggest moment yet.
👉 YOU'RE INVITED! Come leave your mark on downtown! Join us this Saturday, June 6th, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM to help paint in an icon.

🎶 A huge shoutout to Evans Welding for installing the downtown logo onto the bandstand! It looks fantastic and is going to add the perfect community backdrop to all of our upcoming downtown events.

🚶‍♂️ KCTC is giving their front entrance a major face-lift with a brand-new sidewalk and improved accessibility for everyone visiting their downtown location.

🏥 WCHC’s new Beans Pharmacy building is coming along great and taking shape quickly!

Big or small, every single one of these projects makes our community a more beautiful, welcoming place to live, shop, and gather. Grab the family, come downtown this Saturday, and help us celebrate (and paint!) our beautiful town.

🇺🇸 When we launched the Hometown Heroes Banner Program, we wanted to make sure it did more than just beautify our downtown - we wanted it to actively support the veterans living in our community today. 🇺🇸

Today, we got to fulfill that promise. Main Street Washington officially presented English River Outfitters with a $360 donation generated directly from our inaugural banner sponsorships.

Sam Blumer (ERO board member & caretaker) was on hand to accept the check from Sam Meyer (Main Street Washington Executive Director) and Heather Marek (Main Street Washington Board President). This donation will go straight toward supporting ERO’s incredible HERO Lodge and their veteran outreach programs right here in our county. 👏

A massive thank you to every family and business who sponsored a banner this year, your tribute to a loved one is making a real difference for local veterans ❤️ We hope to grow this program and support another veteran non-profit next round!

It's no small thing to serve your country 🇺🇸 to put yourself on the line, and to protect those who can't protect themselves. It's no small thing to make that sacrifice, and it's our responsibility to make sure those sacrifices are remembered. ❤️

Today, we honor those who gave all, we look forward with those who are still serving, and we hope each day for peace. 🕊️
