13 WCDC Clients participated in Bacon Buddies at the Washington County Fair on Wednesday. The clients were mentored by 4-H and FFA youth of Washington County who have volunteered to share their expertise in showing pigs and their ring experience. It was a great time and we are thankful for the passion that the Bacon Buddies shared with all the WCDC Clients.

Fish Day 2025 was a BIG success. Big fish, small fish, and many different types of fish were caught. Most of all, a lot of fun was had. The weather cooperated and the fish were biting. Thank you to all the volunteers that are integral to the success of Fish Day, especially Noon Kiwanis, the Washington County Conservation and Department of Natural Resource Rangers, Washington County Sheriff's Office, and the Horak Family. It is one of the most fun times of the year for the clients and a day that is always looked forward too!

It was great to present our Disability Awareness Program at the 2nd Grade Safety Day. The students did a great job of moving and learning through the different stations. Thank you to the Iowa State Extension Youth Outreach Program and Stewart Schools for including us in this learning experience for students!
