Denise Terzian
Book Nook Dedication Ceremony

On March 5, 2026, the Friends of Moffat Library unveiled the new Book Nook dedicated in memory of 28-year veteran staff member, Denise Terzian. Following her passing in 2024, donations from countless community members came in to the Friends of Moffat Library in memory of Denise, a beloved and dedicated staff member who volunteered countless hours for the library's Friends group over the last two decades of her life.
After discussions between the Friends and library staff, it was decided that Denise, who was an avid reader herself, would like to have some of her favorite authors and books to share with other community members, as she had done for so many years with patrons while working at the library. A set of books and a bookshelf was purchased with the donated funds and a plaque was installed in the Moffat Library main hall.
The March 5th unveiling ceremony included speeches from Moffat Library trustees Dennis Barnett and James Amend, Friends board members Christine Frisbee and Mary Ann Marrero, and Moffat Library director Carol McCrossen and former librarian Matt Thorenz. It was a truly fitting tribute to our dear friend whose memory will live on at Moffat.
