City Hall and City facilities will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

The City of Wasilla will hold its Regular Election on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. Polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Welcome back to school! Local students are invited to get creative and help imagine Wasilla’s future through the Wasilla 2045 Comprehensive Plan Design Contest.

A road closure is currently in place on E. Tysons Trail for watermain construction associated with the Wasilla Palmer Water Interconnect project.

Good news — the runways are OPEN!

Runways 04/22 and 04S/22S at Wasilla Municipal Airport are now open for 24-hour operations as work on the Taxiway K Project continues.

Please note that another period of runway closures is expected in a few weeks and will likely last about a week. We’ll share advance notice as soon as the dates are confirmed.

As always, please keep an eye on current NOTAMs for the latest runway and airport updates.
