Engineer Bob Carroll answered his final call, leaving behind a legacy of bravery and service. To those he rescued, he was a hero; to his fellow firefighters, he was a brother; and to his family, he was a pillar of strength. May the sirens fall silent and the bells ring out in honor of a life well-lived in the service of others.
Bob was a man who defined what it meant to serve. With his signature white beard he was a reassuring sight to everyone in West Carter County. Whether he was maintaining the engines or mentoring the next generation of recruits, Bob did everything with integrity. He didn't just wear the uniform; he lived the values of the fire service every single day. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family
