The Waterbury Public Library is pleased to partner with the Waterbury Rotary Club for the delightful and inspiring Monarch Butterfly project. Milkweed seeds will be planted this Saturday, May 16th beginning at 10 AM behind the library between the Children's Garden and the Community Gardens. We are needing volunteers to come spread the seed.
What is so special about milkweed?
Milkweed is the sole host plant of the monarch butterfly. Monarchs lay eggs specifically on milkweed. If you were witness to the amazing garden event hatched by Kirsten Booth for the last couple of years, you know how special this project is. Spread the word!
