A YOUNG HEART MAKING A BIG DIFFERENCE ! A heartfelt THANK YOU to Drew Baker, an 8th-grade student at Waterbury Arts Magnet School (WAMS), for organizing his 3rd Annual “Snacks For Kids Drive” at the parishes of St. Basil and Mary, Mother of the Church, Wolcott, to help children in need throughout Greater Waterbury! 🥰 Inspired 3 years ago by his concern that local food pantries weren’t receiving enough after-school and lunchbox snacks for children, Drew turned that concern into action—and has continued to make a difference year after year. This year, Drew collected an incredible assortment of snacks for children residing at the St. Vincent DePaul Mission Shelter, as well as for Greater Waterbury Interfaith-Ministries, Waterbury Baptist Ministries, and the Wolcott Connecticut Food Pantry. He also collected monetary donations to support the children and families at our Shelter. Drew's compassion, initiative, and commitment to helping others are truly inspiring.
