I am the son of District 5 Supervisor of 20 years, Ronnie Joe Bennett and the late Frankie Bennett of Potts Camp.
A life long resident of Potts Camp and businessman,I have experience in several of the business sectors. I worked 14 years as Maintenance Supervisor in Building and Grounds Department for the Marshall County School District. With my dad, I co-own and operate Bennett Excavation, a company I have helped operate for seven years. I have worked in heavy construction all my life.
At age 46, I seek to follow in my father’s footsteps as District 5 supervisor of Marshall County.
I serve on the Board of Directors for the Northeast Mississippi Planning and Development District. As a board member, he understands the importance of planning and development districts to assist Marshall County in its development of industrial parks to attract new industrial and commercial partners to move to the county. Planning is key to creating jobs for citizens of Marshall County.
I am a member of the Potts Camp PTA.
I am a life-long resident of Marshall County. I attended school at Potts Camp.
I have been married 26 years to my wife, Mary Ann Bennett, and we have two daughters, Jordan, an education major at Ole Miss, and Carson, a junior at Potts Camp High School.
Mary Ann has been employed 23 years with Medicaid and currently serves as a Medicaid supervisor for the State of Mississippi.
My family attends the First Baptist Church of Potts Camp where Mary Ann serves as pianist.
I want to work for you as District 5 Supervisor. I know road and bridge and that’s what I have done for a living the last 20 years. I believe I am the right age to better the county. I am in it for the long haul. I will put my experience to work for you, the taxpayer of Marshall County. As supervisor I will work for all the citizens of Marshall County, not just for District 5.
My father has taught me the last 20 years how a good supervisor is supposed to act and be, the ins and outs of the daily county supervisor’s role. Of course, if elected I plan on bringing a little younger outlook and ideas to the county as your supervisor. I will be a trustworthy and dependable supervisor for all citizens in Marshall County.
Please, go to the polls August 8 and vote for me, Ronnie O’Neil Bennett, for District 5 Supervisor on the Democratic ballot.
