The Waterford Police Department offers an Internet Purchase Exchange Meet-Up Spot for residents buying or selling items through online marketplace sites.

The designated area is located in the front area of our lot, just to the right as you enter, and is clearly marked by signs (Thank you Town of Waterford DPW for help with the sign install).

This area provides a safer location to meet with unfamiliar parties and complete transactions. For added safety and accountability, the area is video recorded, and license plates are captured and logged by the department’s camera system.

We encourage residents to use this space whenever meeting someone to buy, sell, or exchange items from online marketplaces. Your safety matters to us!

⚠️ Boater Advisory ⚠️

The Waterford Police Department has been made aware of what appears to be an aluminum pier platform that is currently lodged in the waterway between the Wisconsin DNR Boat Launch and Bobbers.

Boaters are advised to use caution when traveling through the area, as the platform may present a navigational hazard. We are working to identify the owner and coordinate its removal.

If you have any information regarding the ownership of this pier platform, please contact the Waterford Police Department.

The Waterford Police Department asks the community to keep Quinn Adamek and his family in your thoughts after a serious crash on May 23, 2026.

Quinn, 23, is a Waterford firefighter and EMT who has spent years serving the community. He was flown to Froedtert Hospital with serious injuries and faces a long recovery.

We’ve received several recent questions and concerns regarding e-bikes, scooters, and bicycle safety in the community.

Waterford PD is currently reviewing state laws, as well as Village and Town ordinances, to help provide clear and consistent information for residents. We encourage riders and parents to talk about safe riding, obeying traffic rules, wearing helmets, and being respectful of pedestrians, drivers, and private property.

🚔🐾 BIG NEWS FROM THE WATERFORD POLICE DEPARTMENT 🐾🚔

We are excited to officially announce that the Waterford Town Board has approved the formation of the Waterford Police Department’s K-9 Unit!

Our future K-9 officer is officially joining the team, and we could not be more excited for what’s ahead. This is a tremendous step forward for our department and community, and we look forward to sharing this journey with all of you.

We want to sincerely thank our incredible community for the overwhelming support, encouragement, and donations that have helped make this possible. Your support has truly been amazing.

This is only the beginning — exciting updates are still to come, and we will also be announcing additional fundraising opportunities as we continue building the program.
