⚠️ TRAVEL & POWER OUTAGE UPDATE ⚠️

Seneca County Office of Emergency Management is receiving multiple reports of downed power lines and trees blocking roadways throughout the area.

🚨 Please use caution if traveling:
• Do not approach or drive over downed power lines. Assume all downed lines are energized.
• Avoid areas where trees or utility lines are blocking the roadway.
• If you encounter a blocked road, turn around and find an alternate route.
• Keep emergency responders and utility crews safe by giving them plenty of room to work.
• If you see a downed power line, stay away and report it to your electric utility or 911 if there is an immediate hazard.

Additional road closures and power outages may occur as crews assess and respond to reports.

Please avoid unnecessary travel and remain alert for changing conditions.

Stay safe and check on neighbors who may need assistance.

Save the date Saturday, August 29 from 2-4 all kids will receive a free ice cream cone sit and enjoy your cone with some of the local law-enforcement you never know who will be serving your cone that day 🚔🍦

Come see us tomorrow at the 2026 Seneca County National Night Out at Rodman Lott & Sons Farms. We will be there from 5:00 pm to 7:30pm with other local law enforcement agencies.
