WCUSD #5 has surplus equipment and vehicles up for bid. The showing will be held on Saturday, June 6th behind Waterloo Junior High School from 6am-2pm. Bids will be accepted until Monday, June 15th at 9am and must be turned into the WCUSD #5 district office at 302 Bellefontaine Dr. This is a cash sale only. And the celebrating continues! Baseball is heading to sectionals! ⚾️

Baseball defeats host Marion 8-6 to win their first IHSA Class AAA regional since 2019.
Bulldogs improve to 24-8 on the season and advance to Wednesday’s sectional semifinal at 2pm against the host Triad.

Boys track had a great showing at the IHSA State Championships!

4x400m relay broke their own school record in the final race of the IHSA State Finals with a 3:19.05. The Bulldogs medaled finishing in 4th.

Soph Luke Smith runs a PR 1:51.98 to finish 3rd in Class AA 800m.

Let’s go! ⚽️

Waterloo defeats Springfield High 3-2 to win the program’s 2nd Sectional Title. Bulldogs improve to 21-2 setting a new school record for wins. Super Sectional match is Tuesday at 4pm at Chatham Glenwood.

Yesterday, we gathered as a district for our 26th annual staff recognition to celebrate our retirees and those who have reached milestone years of service. We have the BEST staff and will greatly miss these retirees. Help us congratulate everyone on their years of service to the WCUSD #5 community. Once a bulldog, always a bulldog. 🐾🧡

What a way to finish the final MVC year. Let’s go dogs! 🐾

The end of spring sports also marks the end of the Mississippi Valley Conference. Waterloo High School joined the MVC in 1997. Since 1997 the Bulldogs have won numerous conference championships, but the 2025-26 school year marks a historic first. This year the Waterloo Bulldogs won the department’s first MVC CUP. The MVC CUP is awarded on an annual basis to the conference’s top athletic department based upon collective conference finishes. In 2025-26 Waterloo shares this honor with Mascoutah.

This is a major accomplishment for our community, student-athletes, and coaches who have worked tirelessly to positively impact the student-athlete experience at WHS. Our athletes have shown DEDICATION by pushing themselves to be stronger athletes, leaders, and teammates. Our coaches have shown ACCOUNTABILITY by holding themselves to high standards while improving as leaders and teachers of their sports. Our department has strived to WINTHEDAY through intentionality and collectively that has led to unprecedented results including 7 MVC Championships. It’s with GRATITUDE that our department thanks our teachers, staff, families, and WHS Athletic Boosters for their support.
