A total of $100,000 has been allocated to support programs and services that benefit residents of Black Hawk County. Applications are due September 22, 2026.

Earlier this month, the Board of Supervisors recognized Deputy Recorder Garth Goodrich for 25 years of dedicated service with Black Hawk County.

After beginning his career in public service at the Black Hawk County Youth Shelter, Garth has spent the past 13 years in the Recorder’s Office and is grateful for relationships that have become lasting friendships.

Garth enjoys the attention to detail and accuracy required of a Deputy Recorder, particularly when working with real estate documents that hold value for generations. The role offers a daily challenge, and solving problems is a rewarding part of the work.
