This week is Medicolegal Death Investigator Week and today marks Coroner Appreciation Day. I'd first like to thank you, the community, for entrusting me with this great responsibility. It is an honor to serve you.

Secondly, I'd like to thank my deputies: Ann Rudloff, Kelly Riedel, Theresa Hitzemann and Derek Pechacek. These four individuals take shifts day and night, weekends and holidays, helping me ensure that every death in the county is properly investigated. They work rain or shine, in difficult and emotionally-charged situations and conditions, speaking on behalf of those who no longer have voices. They give of their family time to serve alongside me, law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services personnel. Their work often goes largely unnoticed but never unappreciated. Thank you for all you do!

Thank you to all who have served!
