What a great past two weeks we’ve had at Exchange Club! 🇺🇸

Last week, we had the pleasure of hearing from our very own Frank Magsamen, who shared updates on the Honor Flights. If you know a veteran who may be interested in participating in one of these meaningful trips, we’d be more than happy to connect you with Frank and provide more information!

This week, we welcomed Emily Hanson from the Black Hawk County Gaming Association. Emily shared insight into how funds are allocated and distributed throughout Waterloo and the surrounding communities. These funds support a wide variety of organizations and impactful projects that help strengthen our community and create lasting benefits for years to come.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn from local leaders and hear about the incredible work happening right here in our community! 💙

Here’s a great way to support our local Sunrise Petting Zoo!

After taking a few years off, we have brought back the Race For The Zoo! Help make this a success by signing up to run/walk, inquire on how to sponsor, or just share this post with all your friends! All proceeds go to keeping the Zoo operating and admission free!

Thank you to Margaret Moye, Executive Director of the Grout Museum, for joining us and giving our club an update on everything happening at the museum!

Some time ago, our club was honored to help support the restoration of the original World War II flag believed to be the first American flag the U.S. Army brought to Europe. Margaret shared the exciting news that the restoration is now complete, and this incredible piece of history is officially on display at the museum.

During her visit, our club was also proud to present an additional $7,000 check to support this important project and the preservation of this remarkable piece of history. We're honored to play a part in helping ensure this artifact can be enjoyed by future generations.

A big thank you to Robbin Degeratu from the Waterloo Public Library for joining us and sharing all the incredible resources our local library has to offer! From educational programs and digital resources to community events and services, we learned just how much the library provides for residents of all ages. We appreciate the informative presentation and all that the Waterloo Public Library does for our community!
