🍉💥 WATERMELON BAND BONANZA! 💥🍉

Today, Meredith showed our residents what happens when you keep adding rubber bands to a watermelon… and the anticipation was REAL! 😂

One rubber band after another, we waited… watched… and wondered if it would actually work.

The watermelon was finally starting to CRACK!

Our residents couldn’t believe it was actually going to burst! There were plenty of laughs, guesses, and suspense as everyone waited for the big POP! 💥

Who knew a watermelon and a bunch of rubber bands could make for such a fun afternoon?! 🍉❤️

Our residents were SO happy to finally be back on the bus and out enjoying a scenic drive today! 🥰 The weather couldn’t have been more perfect—beautiful sunshine, gorgeous views, and plenty of smiles all around. ☀️🌳

Sometimes a relaxing ride, good conversation, and a little fresh air is exactly what you need! We are so excited to have our bus back and can’t wait for all the adventures ahead! 🚌✨

☀️🌴 End of Summer Social! 🌴☀️

What a beautiful afternoon to soak up the last little bit of summer together! 💛

Residents enjoyed a special tropical drink made by Meredith with Hawaiian Punch & Malibu Rum 🍹🌺, along with a cool and colorful Bomb Pop Popsicle for the perfect summertime treat! 🇺🇸🍧

With good tunes playing, lots of conversation, laughter, and wonderful company, it was such a fun way to celebrate the end of another beautiful summer! 🎶☀️

🎤🍌 Dolly Parton Karaoke — with a BANANAS twist! 🍌🎶

We had such a fun morning singing our hearts out to some of our favorite Dolly Parton hits! 💛

But regular microphones just wouldn’t do… our microphones were BANANAS! 🍌😂 Residents sang along, shared plenty of laughs, and enjoyed some wonderful Dolly favorites together.

There’s nothing quite like good music, lots of laughter, and a little silliness to make for a great morning! 🎶🍌

We’ll always love you, Dolly! 💕🎤

🎬🍿 Movie Night! 🍿🎬

We had a wonderful turnout for Movie Night this evening! ❤️ Residents gathered together to relax and enjoy the Dolly Parton movie Coat of Many Colors! 🎶🌈

It was a special way to continue our remembrance of Dolly Parton—enjoying a heartwarming movie, wonderful company, and a cozy evening together. 💕🎥

🍌🎶 We Went Bananas This Afternoon! 🎶🍌

A HUGE thank you to the Bye Bye Blues Band from our local Senior Center for coming out and putting on such a wonderful performance for our residents this afternoon! 💛🎵

They were the perfect addition to our “Going Bananas” Social! 🍌 Residents enjoyed listening to some great live music, singing along, and spending the afternoon together.

🎤💖 We also enjoyed a special Dolly Parton tribute, as the band performed some of her beloved songs in her honor. It was such a special addition to the afternoon, and our residents loved hearing those familiar Dolly favorites! 🎶✨

Of course, we had to go ALL OUT with the banana theme! 🍌 Meredith put together adorable Banana Treat Bags filled with a variety of banana-themed goodies for everyone to enjoy, and she even whipped up some delicious Banana Cream Pudding for an extra sweet treat! 😋💛

Great music, sweet treats, lots of smiles, and a whole lot of bananas made for one FUN afternoon! 🍌🎶✨

Today is Creating with Citrus Day! 🍋🍊

We celebrated by getting crafty and making the cutest citrus-stamped dish towels! Residents had fun choosing their citrus designs and creating their own bright, one-of-a-kind towels. 🍋🎨

Such a fun way to add a little zest to our day! 💛🍊✨

Today was National Peach Pie Day! 🥧🍑
So, of course, we had to celebrate by making a delicious homemade peach pie!
Our residents were the expert pie consultants for the afternoon, helping guide Meredith along the way and making sure everything was done just right. 😊
One of the sweetest parts was reminiscing together about how pie-making has changed over the years. Residents shared stories about how they used to make their pies, their favorite kinds of pie, and all the different recipes they remember making for family and friends.
There’s just something special about good conversation, wonderful memories, and the smell of a fresh peach pie baking! 🍑🥧❤️
