Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 26 and join us for Historic Watertown TN’s Founders Day Festival, 5K & 1-Mile Family Fun Run/Walk! It’s going to be a full day of family fun in Watertown.

Start the morning with our 5K or 1-Mile Family Fun Run/Walk, then stick around for a FREE community festival featuring:

Music • Inflatables • Cake Walk • Scavenger Hunt • Face Painting

Plus plenty of old-school fun for all ages, including 3-Legged Races, 2-Person Relays, Water Balloon Toss, Dunk Tank and more!

And come hungry! The Watertown Volunteer Fire Department will be serving up a Community Fish Fry just for the Festival for only $5 per person!

Food & Festival: 11:00 AM–3:00 PM

Train Day in Watertown. Hanging out / Volunteering at the Atwood House/ Welcome Center. Did you know that Historic Watertown maintains and staffs the Atwood House on train days with volunteers to serve as a welcome center and public restrooms.

Sign up is now LIVE for the Founders Day 5k!
We have several options from a timed 5k to a 1 mile family friendly walk! Most of the sign-ups include a commemorative t-shirt!

The walk / run starts at 8AM but stay for the fun as the festival event continue throughout the afternoon!

The Historic Watertown Founders Day 5K is on Saturday September 26, 2026. It includes the following events: Founders Day 5K - Timed and Shirt, Founders 5k - NO Timing and Shirt, Founders Day 1 Mile Family Walk and Shirt, and Founders Day - Just for Fun - No Timing, No Shirt.
