Members of Group 4, who delivered a healthy baby a couple weeks ago, received their stork pins this morning. Stork pins can be worn with pride on Class A uniforms.

The is week each group is training on forcible entry techniques. For this type of training we use a specialized prop that simulates the different types of doors we face.

It’s a girl!

We’re pleased to announce that members from Engine 1 and Medic 1 delivered a healthy baby girl yesterday afternoon. Pro EMS also assisted.

For Watertown Fire were Captain M. Anastasi and Firefighters R. Murgo, O. Bullock, and F. Hession. Those members will receive pink stork pins to display on their uniforms.

At approximately 7:30am we received calls for a structure fire on Kimball Road. With a mix of Group 3 & 4 members, due to shift change, the fire was extinguished. Deputy D. Tardif was the Incident Commander for the Working Fire incident.

No injuries were reported, and the origin and cause remain under investigation.

We thank our mutual aid partners from Cambridge, Newton, and Waltham for providing coverage to the city during the incident.
