The WPD mourns the passing of one of our oldest retirees. Chief Inspector Ned Williams, who served from 1952 until 1990. Chief Inspector Williams was active with the police department and was well respected though the newest generations. -Never Forgotten-

🚨SCAM ALERT🚨
Please be cognizant of a new e-mail scam which has recently been brought to the attention of the police department. This scam e-mail is sent from an account titled “[email protected]” and says you have been cited with a traffic citation from the Watertown Police Department. This scam e-mail advises you to pay the fee online through their “Easy Pay Center”. This is not a real citation and we are advising any recipient of this type of e-mail not to respond and delete it immediately.

If you have received this e-mail and have not provided any payment to the scammers there is no need to call the department to let us know. However, if you have already fallen victim and provided a payment we encourage you to contact the department to file a report.
