Every line of red sand tells a story that should not be overlooked.

By filling the cracks in our sidewalks, a few members of our community joined the Red Sand Project, creating a powerful visual reminder of those who too often fall through the cracks because of human trafficking, modern slavery, and exploitation.

Awareness matters. Vigilance matters. Action matters. Together, we can help create a community where every person is seen, valued, and protected.

This photo was taken on a Saturday in downtown Watertown.

It got us thinking…

Every empty parking space represents an opportunity.

An opportunity to support a local business.
An opportunity to invest in a local family.
An opportunity to strengthen the community we all call home.

The businesses that line our streets aren’t owned by corporations hundreds of miles away. They’re owned by our neighbors, our friends, and the people who cheer beside us at ballgames, worship beside us on Sundays, and serve alongside us throughout our community.

The next time you’re deciding where to grab lunch, buy a gift, schedule a service, or spend your hard-earned dollars, consider starting right here in Watertown.

Small choices make a big difference in a small town.

Let’s fill these parking spaces.
