šŸŽ” That’s a wrap on the Douglas County Fair! ā¤ļøšŸ¤šŸ’™

What a wonderful few days celebrating the community we get to call home!

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by my booth, introduced themselves, asked questions, shared their thoughts, or simply stopped to say hello. I truly enjoyed every conversation and appreciate everyone who took a few minutes out of their fair day to visit with me.

Thank you to Kasey, Harlow, Joanne and Ruth for helping me run my booth. I appreciate all the support.

One of my favorite parts of campaigning has been getting out into our communities and talking directly with the people I hope to serve. Hearing what matters to you, answering your questions, and getting to know more of our Douglas County neighbors is exactly what this campaign is about.

And, of course, we managed to squeeze in plenty of fair fun along the way! šŸŽ” From carnival rides and treats to spending time with my kids and seeing so many familiar faces, it was a busy weekend and a great reminder of just how special our small communities are.

Thank you to everyone who worked, volunteered, exhibited, competed, served food, supported our youth, and helped make the Douglas County Fair happen.

Douglas County is home, and I’m grateful to be raising my family, serving my community, and running for Douglas County Clerk right here. ā¤ļø

Douglas County Fair weekend is almost here, and I’m looking forward to a busy couple of days! šŸŽ”šŸ¤

I’ll have my Andrea Jester for Douglas County Clerk campaign booth at the fair Friday and Saturday, and I would love for you to stop by, say hello, ask me questions, and talk with me about why I’m running for County Clerk and what I hope to bring to the office to better serve you.

Outside of campaign time, I’ll also be wearing a few of the other hats that are important to me helping serve our community with Waterville Ambulance and working at the rodeo. And somewhere in between, you’ll probably find me enjoying some fair food, crossing my fingers on a ribbon for my baked good, entering wheat from my husbands crop, and making memories on the carnival rides with my kids!

One of my favorite parts of living in Douglas County is seeing our communities come together for events like this. Whether we’re talking about the Clerk’s Office at my campaign booth or simply crossing paths while enjoying the fair, I hope you’ll say hello. šŸ‘‹

Come find my campaign booth Friday or Saturday I’d love the opportunity to meet you!

See you at the Douglas County Fair! šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡øšŸŽ”šŸ“

A huge thank you to Gilbert at El Porton for allowing me to put up a sign at his restaurant!

Of course, before putting up the sign, we had to enjoy a delicious meal and, as always, the wonderful customer service that comes with it. Thank you, Gilbert and the El Porton team, for your kindness, great food, and warm welcome every time we visit.

One thing I’ve really enjoyed throughout this campaign is getting out into our community and experiencing the incredible customer service provided by so many of our local businesses. Every interaction reminds me that we are always learning from one another and finding ways to grow and push the standard.

Sometimes great customer service starts with something as simple as saying hello with a smile, actively listening, being helpful, and making the most of every interaction. Those little things can make a big difference in someone’s day.

That is the same level of service I am committed to bringing to the Douglas County Clerk’s Office every single day. Whether you walk through the door with a simple question or need help navigating something unfamiliar, you deserve to be greeted with kindness, respect, patience, and a willingness to help.

Thank you to the businesses and people throughout Douglas County who continue to inspire me to do more and serve better. ā¤ļø

I’m honored to share this endorsement from Kasey Edgar. She has seen firsthand the importance of professionalism, compassion, teamwork, and commitment to our community. I’m grateful she took the time to share her perspective:

ā€œOver the years I have had the pleasure of knowing and working alongside Andrea in several capacities including as a first responder and as an attorney appearing in Douglas County Superior Court. In my 15 years as a Chelan County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, I worked with a variety of clerks both in Chelan and Douglas Counties. I appeared in Douglas County twice a month during that time and was able to observe Andrea in several capacities at the clerk’s office. She was always professional, courteous and extremely friendly. She truly stood out in her roles and has a passion for the legal profession and helping individuals navigate the system.

I have also had the pleasure of working with Andrea as a volunteer first responder. I am a volunteer firefighter and the interaction between the two agencies is very important in such a small community. Andrea has done so much for the ambulance service and has vastly improved the relationship between our two organizations. She has proven that as an elected official she will care for her constituents not just on a professional level but as a devoted volunteer in the community. I think it is extremely important that elected officials show a commitment to the community that extends beyond their job. These are just a few of the reasons that I support Andrea, and I know she will do an amazing job as the Douglas County Clerk.ā€

Thank you, Kasey, for your support. I’m incredibly grateful to have you in my corner. ā¤ļø

Outside of serving as a Court Facilitator and running for Douglas County Court Clerk, I’m a wife, a mom, and someone who believes deeply in working hard for the life and community you love. I’m married to an incredibly hardworking man who works full-time as a wheat farmer. We also have our own small farm on the side, 4J Farms, where there is always something that needs to be done. Together, we’re raising our three beautiful children Watson, Penny, and our newest addition, Langley.

I actually began this campaign during my third trimester with Langley. Since welcoming her, our family couldn’t be happier to have one more little one to love. She has already become part of this campaign journey right alongside us. When I’m not at the courthouse or working on my campaign, you’ll usually find our family outside. We’re working goats and chickens, cutting wood, mowing the yard, tackling another project on our dream property, or simply slowing down long enough to enjoy a beautiful sunset together. We stay busy, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We’re building a home, a farm, and most importantly, a future for our three kids. This is the life that keeps me grounded. It has taught me that hard work matters, that you show up even when the days are long, and that the best things are built with patience, dedication, and a whole lot of teamwork.

Those are the same values I will bring with me every day as your Douglas County Court Clerk. I’m not just asking for your vote as a candidate. I want you to know the wife, mom, farmer, and neighbor behind the name on the ballot.

I’m Andrea Jester, and I would be honored to earn your vote for Douglas County Court Clerk.

The unofficial results have been published, and it appears there are still 4,604 ballots left to count. As we wait for the official results, I want to sincerely thank everyone who voted for me, supported my campaign, and encouraged me along the way. I am truly humbled by the support I’ve received.

No matter what the outcome is, I am committed to advocating for our community and working every day to earn your trust. This has only strengthened my motivation. Thank you for believing in me and for being part of this journey.

My wonderful husband has been busy harvesting his wheat so the kids and I packed up and put some signs out this last weekend. While I was putting a sign in town a wonderful community member stopped to talk and help put some poles in the ground. I’m thankful for the conversations, helping hands and a donation from a wonderful woman to help get more signs out. 🄰

I just got another box of yard signs delivered for anyone who wants one please reach out! Thank you again for all your support it truly means the most to me.

Why do I love working in the Clerk’s Office?

Working in the Clerk’s Office has completely changed my perspective on life and service. I always knew of the court system, but like many people in the community, I didn’t fully understand what a Court Clerk does or the impact the office has on people’s lives. The truth is, working in the Clerk’s Office is not always easy. It is not a job full of rainbows and sunshine. We are often the face of the Court during some of the hardest moments in people’s lives. We handle high-stress incidents, difficult conversations, important documentation, and confidential records that impact not only the individuals involved, but also other agencies and the community as a whole.

So why would I choose to work in the Clerk’s Office? The answer is simple: I love people. I love my community. I love learning, teaching, and helping others find their way through a system that can feel overwhelming. One of the most rewarding parts of my role as a Court Facilitator is meeting someone who walks in feeling lost or unsure where to begin and watching them leave with a sense of clarity and peace because they received guidance, resources, and compassion.

I always look forward to meeting new people, hearing their stories, and helping them gain the confidence they need to navigate the Court system. The small conversations that happen throughout the day are some of the most meaningful moments. People are inspiring, and hearing their experiences, their challenges, and what they make of life motivates me to continue learning, growing, and doing better. The Clerk’s Office is about service. It is about showing up for people when they need someone to help them take the next step.

I will continue to serve my community with dedication and compassion. This work matters, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of it.
