Grey Fox Tested Positive for Rabies in Waterville

Maine’s Health and Environmental Testing Laboratory confirmed that a grey fox from Waterville tested positive for rabies. Rabies is common in wild animals in Maine. Make sure to never touch an animal that is wild or unknown to you. You should also make sure your animals are up to date on rabies vaccine. Beat the heat with WFD!

June 19th from 3pm to 4pm, the Waterville Fire Department, in conjunction with Waterville Parks and Recreation, will be at Head of Falls testing fire pumps. It will be a great opportunity for a “Soak the Kids” event. It will be extremely hot and there will be no better way to cool off. If you plan to attend, water shoes, sunscreen, and drinking water are a must!

Pssst...Waterville Residents - this Sunday, July 30 is FREE ADMISSION DAY FOR WATERVILLE RESIDENTS!!

Proof of residency is required when checking in.

And yes, this time it's just for Waterville Residents - a portion of their tax dollars funds the Alfond Municipal Pool Complex, so this is a benefit for those who live and pay taxes here.

The AMPC is operated by the Alfond Youth & Community Center through a community partnership with the City of Waterville. The City of Waterville owns and maintains the AMPC.
