What a gorgeous summer evening it was for Lemonade on the Lawn and the Kids Market! Thank you to all who joined us. A reminder that there is no Story Hour today while we continue to tidy up all of last night's joy.

From great music with the Chickadee Sisters to an assortment of delicious and awesome items at the Kids Market, it was one for the books.

Additional thanks to the MPS PTA for assisting with school supplies distribution, and to the Waterville Volunteer Fire Department for bringing a truck to mesmerize kids, but also help them grow a bit more comfortable with the volunteers who work to assist our community (but can be pretty intimidating with all of their gear).

Also to First Source Credit Union for their help preparing the kids for the market. As well as to the kids and their supporters. You amaze us every year!

We'll see you tonight for our last big summer hurrah! Before you get back to those scheduled routines, take a moment to slow down and savor a summer night out. Bring a blanket or chair, stroll through, and enjoy the night in the best way that works for you.

While you're here, be sure to stop by the Kids Market! It's like a sidewalk lemonade stand all grown up, stocked with all sorts of handmade and creative options priced to sell (while the library offers lemonade and popcorn for free). Kids have been working hard to give being an entrepreneur a try, and your support (as able) is greatly appreciated. Kind words alone go a long way!

Enjoy the music the Chickadee Sisters, tour the Barton-Brown Observatory with the Mohawk Valley Astronomical Society, play in the Story Yard, nab some school supplies, and more. Plus, as the skies darken, enjoy a Perseid meteor shower watch party with MVAS (weather permitting).

Tomorrow is the last day to drop off donations of school supplies! Donations can be brought to the front desk during open hours.

All donations will then be organized and distributed during Lemonade on the Lawn on Thursday evening. Our PTA friends have offered to help go through WCSD supply lists and send you with what you need. You can look for their smiling faces (and listen for their good humor) Thursday evening.

Only two sleeps until the Kids Market and the final Lemonade on the Lawn concert of the summer!

Join us for an evening of supporting kids while purchasing some awesome products, summer strolling around the garden, casual co****le and croquet, sprawling on a blanket while sipping lemonade, Story Yard mud kitchen creations, and more.

It's the last full week of Summer Reading! But don't worry, there's a bonus weekend to catch up on reading, logs, all the things before the program ends on Monday, August 17th.

But! This week includes our grand finale Lemonade on the Lawn with musical guest The Chickadee Sisters and the Kids Market, an entire market of kid & teen entrepreneurs who have worked to offer you products they are truly passionate about (often handmade with love)!

The Kids Market has a soft opening at 6:30 pm to allow for a more gentle flow into the evening, then the full night of summer fun begins at 7 pm, with the Mohawk Valley Astronomical Society offering a Perseid Meteor Shower watch party into the night (weather permitting). It's going to be a great night!
