🎉 Welcome Mr. Kindt to the WAY Program! 🎉

We are excited to officially welcome Mr. Kindt back to the WAY Program as our Principal!

Most recently, Mr. Kindt served as Principal at Watervliet Middle School, but he is certainly no stranger to WAY. From 2012–2021, Mr. Kindt played a major role as our Program Director and was instrumental in helping shape and grow the program into what it is today.

It’s safe to say his impact on WAY has been tremendous, and we are so happy to have him back where it all began.

Welcome back, Mr. Kindt — we’re excited for this next chapter!

🌟 WAY Student Spotlight: Samantha Rowe! 🌟

This month, we are proud to recognize Samantha Rowe for her hard work, determination, and commitment to staying on track with her goals!
Samantha has shown great motivation throughout her educational journey, consistently putting in the effort needed to make progress and succeed. Her positive attitude and dedication are a great example of what it means to take ownership of your future.

Who has had the biggest impact on your success, and what have you learned from them?
My grandparents, I’ve learned to always show compassion and gratitude from them.

What are your plans after you finish high school, and what advice would you give to younger students who hope to follow a similar path?
I plan to attend SMC and get my associates degree in nursing as I have obtained my CNA license already. My advice would be to never go off course because it is hard to get back on.

What is your favorite memory from high school?
My favorite memory from high school was taking the patient care class at Van Buren Tech Center.
