Many lessons on the farm or ranch are learned by watching and working alongside family. Taking time to explain hazards and demonstrate safe habits helps prepare the next generation to carry that work forward safely.

Applicants do not need to be MEC members, but they should live, operate or serve within MEC’s service territory.

OFFICE CLOSURE | McKenzie Electric’s office will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day.

POTENTIAL SEVERE WEATHER 8/30 | Severe thunderstorms are possible across western and central North Dakota this afternoon through this evening.

Storms may bring strong winds, large hail and the potential for isolated tornadoes. Please stay weather aware and have multiple ways to receive watches and warnings.

Confidence continues to increase that severe thunderstorms may impact western and central North Dakota this afternoon through this evening. Scattered severe thunderstorms (a level 2 out of 5 threat) are now possible over most of western and central North Dakota this afternoon through this evening. Damaging winds to 75 mph will be the main hazard with these storms. Hail to the size of golf balls is also possible, and an isolated tornado can’t be ruled out.
