Book Sale weekend is always a whirlwind for staff and volunteers. We are so lucky to have such a great community behind us. Schuyler Storm Football made clean up a breeze this morning and moved all of these leftover boxes back to library in under an hour!

Schuyler Libraries Saturday Night Pride is rotating to Watkins Glen Public Library for the next three months! These programs are geared towards teens aged 13-17, specifically geared towards LGBTQIA+ youth and their allies. More details to come!

October 24 @ 5-7pm: Button & Patch Studio
November 21 @ 5-7pm: Anime Movie Night

***BOOK CLUB - Understanding the Sullivan Campaign of 1779***

Join Schuyler County Historian Dr. Gary Emerson for a deep dive into the Sullivan Campaign of 1779. This reading and discussion group will begin September 3, 2026. The group will read 5 books centering on the Sullivan Campaign and will meet four times during the fall. Meetings will be held from 6 pm until 7:30 pm at the Brick Tavern Museum.

Space IS limited. So, email [email protected] to secure your slot today. Once signed up we'll let you know when to come get your books to begin your readings.

TODAY IS THE DAY!! Watkins Glen Public Library BOOK SALE 10AM-4PM IN THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL GYM (enter across from the library parking lot). Please park either in the library lot or in the adjacent school lots.

The annual book sale is right around the corner! Save the date for Saturday, August 22 from 10am-4pm. There will be a $10.00 bag sale from 3-4pm. Thank you everyone who donated and to all of the many staff and volunteers who make this even possible.

It's so hard to believe that Summer Learning Program is over. We want to congratulate this year's Top Readers: Violet M., Oriana C-S., Eliza M., Conrad C., Arabel T., and Lucas C. for all of their hard work. Violet, Eliza, and Arabel combined read a total of 342 hours (the equivalent of almost 9 full-time 40 hour work weeks)! Conrad, Lucas, and Oriana combined read a total of 204 books!

Thank you to all of the participants who joined us this year exploring the world of dinosaurs. Winners will be notified accordingly and prizes are ready to pick up :)

Once again, we can’t thank Troop 50 enough for all of their help moving an estimated 265 boxes of books, puzzles, games, movies, and MORE from the library to the school gym. This is such a wonderful group of people that do so much for our community. We are truly grateful.
