Oconee County Fire Rescue appreciates Danielle Grier - Georgia Home Partners Realty - for her gracious donation from the recent Holes for Heroes Golf Tournament!

Thanks!

HOLY COW!!!

We raised $54,000 through our 4th Annual Holes for Heroes Golf Tournament to support the Oconee Sheriff’s Office, Oconee Fire Rescue, and Anchor Point/SANE Inc.

A lot goes into making this event happen, and I’m grateful for everyone who shows up and supports it and seeing the impact it makes in our community makes it all worth it.

This is a line of vehicles on the side of the road. They happen to belong to several Oconee County Volunteer Firefighters who gave up their evening to serve our fellow citizens.

We are fortunate to live and work in a special place filled with generous and giving people.

This past Friday, Oconee County Fire-Rescue celebrated their annual appreciation dinner. During this dinner, we got to recognize several members for years of service, special recognitions, our Oconee County Firefighter Cadet class, and our graduating Firefighter 1 Firefighter 2 and EMR classes. We also get to recognize how lucky we are to have such an outstanding group of men and women who served this county out of the goodness of their heart. We also want to recognize all our sponsors for the dinner. Without them, we would not be able to put on and such an amazing dinner and have the amazing door prizes we get to give to our members.

The amount of forecasted snow for Oconee County area keeps increasing.

It looks like the possibility of throwing snowballs and building a snowman is also increasing, so it's not all gloom and doom.
