SoonerStart connects families with support and resources to help strengthen their child’s learning and development through everyday activities and opportunities. Early support can make a difference.

The Child Guidance team is here to help families and caregivers address current concerns, understand their child's developmental needs, and encourage nurturing relationships to ensure a healthy future for children, families, and the community.

All families have opportunities to benefit from the clinic-based services offered by the Child Guidance program. Child Guidance provides important and useful information and resources that help guide caregivers to nurture their children’s development.

For a full list of our services, please contact your local health department or schedule an appointment with one of our Child Guidance clinicians to determine which services best meet your family’s needs.

Our staff work each day to ensure that every person who lives, works, and plays in our community has access to the highest quality public health services.

Many services are provided at no cost, while others are available on a sliding fee scale based on family size and income. No one will be denied services because of an inability to pay.

To learn more about available services, schedule an appointment, or determine program eligibility, please call the County Health Department during regular business hours at 580-623-7977.
