💧 Hydrographs that visualize patterns over time
📍 Monitoring wells to track water levels
🧑‍🔬 Water quality testing that detects potential contaminants and changes in Salinity
🧭 Modeling tools to predict how water moves and how recharge affects the aquifer

The purple pipes in the agricultural fields let you know where recycled water is being used! wow 😮 Recycled water comes from water used in homes and businesses that is sent to the Recycled Water Facility. At the facility, it's cleaned through chemical, biological and physical processes 🧪 before being pumped through the coastal distribution system — the purple pipes — to irrigate more than 6,000 acres of land throughout the year!

An encouraging trend — the groundwater levels in the Pajaro Valley increased 📈 by 79 acre feet from the fall of 2024 to the fall of 2025. The increase is particularly notable because of the dry conditions during that period, and the groundwater pumping was the fourth lowest in more than 25 years! That is a fantastic signal, water users throughout the Valley are getting more efficient and precise.
