Over the next week the PD will be attempting to eliminate the city’s current skunk problem, so don’t be alarmed if you see us walking through your property. You can assist with this issue by keeping your garbage picked up and placed in proper bins along with keeping your pet food inside. The DNR has issued a burning ban for all of Mahnomen county no permits will be issued by a local fire wardens, if you want to burn agricultural land like a cornfield you will need the contact the
DNR phone numbers 218- 694-2146 or 218-308-2065. Campfires are still allowed long as they are no bigger than 3 foot diameter and 3 foot high.
