PUBLIC NOTICE | July 4th Holiday Closures

🇺🇸 As we prepare to celebrate Independence Day with our families, friends, and neighbors, we are reminded of the significance of this historic moment in our nation’s story.

As Governor Ron DeSantis noted, *"America's 250th anniversary is a historic milestone and an opportunity to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and enduring principles that established the United States as the freest and most prosperous nation in the world."*

In recognition of this milestone and to provide additional time for employees and residents to celebrate with loved ones, Hardee County will once again follow the State of Florida's holiday schedule by observing Thursday, July 2, and Monday, July 6, in addition to the Independence Day holiday observance on Friday, July 3.

On behalf of the Hardee County Board of County Commissioners, we wish everyone a safe, joyful, and meaningful Independence Day weekend.

As you gather with family and friends, take a moment to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy and the generations of Americans whose service and sacrifice helped preserve them. Don't miss the 4th of July Jubilee in Pioneer Park.

No need to worry! A prescribed (controlled) burn is taking place today. These planned burns help keep our habitats healthy and reduce the risk of larger wildfires.

Everything is being closely monitored, and all is well. So if you spot smoke or flames in the area, just know it’s part of a carefully managed process.

Hardee County residents are invited to attend a Community Reception with the County Manager Finalists on Monday, June 29, 2026. 5pm-7pm

The Hardee County Board of County Commissioners is currently conducting interviews for the County Manager position and welcomes the public to meet the finalists during this informal reception.

This is an opportunity for residents to introduce themselves, engage in conversation, and learn more about the individuals being considered to lead Hardee County's organization and services.
