Since 1926, the Kiwanis Club of Wauchula has been dedicated to serving the local community through various service and fundraising projects.

Supporting Hardee County’s Future Leaders!

The Kiwanis Club of Wauchula is proud to be the new sponsor of the Hardee County Chamber of Commerce’s Student of the Month program!

Each month, an outstanding local student will be recognized during the Chamber’s Lunch & Learn for their achievements, character, leadership, and dedication.

Supporting and encouraging young people is at the heart of what Kiwanis is all about, and we are excited to partner with the Chamber to celebrate students who are making a difference in their schools and our community.

We look forward to recognizing some incredible students throughout the year!

Kids need Kiwanis and we’re proud to serve the youth of Hardee County!

The Kiwanis Club of Wauchula was pleased to welcome Colonel Chip Roberts as our guest speaker this week!

Colonel Roberts shared about his experience attending the FBI National Academy, which he graduated from about a year ago. He gave us a glimpse into the training, leadership development, and experiences that come with being part of this prestigious program.

We appreciate Colonel Roberts taking the time to join us and share his experience with our club. Thank you for your continued leadership and service to our community!

The Kiwanis Club of Wauchula was honored to participate in the First Annual Tools for Teachers event hosted by South Florida State College!

As an organization dedicated to serving children and strengthening our community, it was a privilege to support the incredible educators who invest so much in the lives of our students every day.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible and to our teachers for the passion, dedication, and heart you bring into the classroom. We hope this event serves as a reminder that our community appreciates all that you do!

📚✨ A new Little Free Library has found its home in Zolfo Springs!

Thanks to the efforts of our community partners, a new Little Free Library is now available at 3210 Main Street, Zolfo Springs.

Take a book, leave a book, and help inspire a love of reading in our community. Whether you're looking for your next great read or have a book you'd like to share, stop by and check it out!

A big thank you to everyone who helped make this possible and continues to invest in literacy and lifelong learning throughout Hardee County.

This week, the Kiwanis Club of Wauchula had the pleasure of welcoming Lori Friers, Director of the Hardee Help Center, as our guest speaker.

Lori shared the incredible impact the Hardee Help Center has had on our community and the many ways the organization continues to provide hope and support to individuals and families in need.

Pictured with Lori is Co-Director Stephanie Leakey and Judge Jeff McKibben, a longtime Kiwanian who played an important role in the organization's beginnings by handling the legal paperwork to establish the Hardee Help Center 26 years ago. It was a special reminder of how community leaders working together can create something that serves generations.

This week, the Kiwanis Club of Wauchula had the pleasure of hearing from the HJH BBQ Team, and what an inspiring presentation it was!

These outstanding students recently earned 3rd Place in the National Competition for Building a Smoker and also placed in the Top 10 in multiple BBQ competition categories—an incredible accomplishment on the national stage.

They shared their journey, the skills they've learned through the program, and the dedication, teamwork, and hard work it took to compete at such a high level. Their passion and professionalism were truly impressive.

Congratulations to the students, instructors, and everyone who has supported this exceptional program. You are outstanding ambassadors for Hardee County, and we can't wait to see what you accomplish next!

🌱 Kiwanis Club of Wauchula Weekly Program 🌱

Last week, the Kiwanis Club of Wauchula welcomed Eric Wilson, Agricultural Specialist with AdventHealth, who shared exciting updates on AdventHealth's newest endeavor—the Freight Farms initiative.

Eric provided an overview of how Freight Farms utilize innovative, controlled-environment agriculture to grow fresh produce year-round while supporting healthier communities and expanding access to nutritious food. It was an informative presentation that highlighted the intersection of agriculture, innovation, and community wellness.
